The Sopranos

The Sopranos, one of the few series that stood the test of time. Its arguably one of the best American crime drama television series ever produced. The series mainly rotates around Tony Soprano (Gandolfini), an Italian American mobster who is based in New Jersey together with his family. The series shows the difficulties Tony undergoes when he is faced with the delicate act of balancing his criminal organization and the needs of his home life. David Chase created the series.

Its pilot episode premiered on HBO in January 10, 1999.It became the second hour-long drama series that was produced by HBO, only second to prison drama Oz.

It eventually ended the production in June 10, 2007.

Main actors included Gandolfini, Bracco, Falco, Imperioli, Chianese, Van Zandt, Sirico, Robert Iler, Lynn Sigler and many others.

It lasted for eight years, producing six seasons and a total of 86 episodes.

The Sopranos won numerous awards in the film industry. Some of the awards are 21 prime time Emmy Awards, five Golden Globe Awards, Best drama series in the year 2000, Peabody Awards in 2000 and 2001 among others. The lead actor and actress have also won major awards, some of them are the Golden Globe Awards in 2000 and 2003.The director also received numerous awards for Outstanding Writing for a drama series.
